While the 1970s for Audemars Piguet was most famous for being the decade that introduced the world to the iconic Royal Oak, a lesser known family of integrated bracelet watches was first conceived by the creative geniuses in Le Brassus in the same period.

Nicknamed the 'Cobra' for the sinuous lines that reflect of each link on a bracelet like scales on the back of a serpent, these bracelet watches were offered in white and yellow gold and embodied the spirit of excess during the 1970s and 80s. The present 'Mini Cobra' is a smaller, elliptical shaped iteration of its more famous cousin the round Reference 5403, and it possesses all the hallmarks of a Cobra from its integrated bracelet to its diamond-set dial. What makes it especially special, is the unusual monogram dial dotted with the AP logo.
