Introduced in the early 1940s, the Jaeger-LeCoultre Triple Calendar was developed in response to growing demand for wristwatches that combined timeless elegance with practical complications. Among the earliest calendar wristwatches produced on a larger scale, it became an important milestone in the history of the Manufacture and a defining model of mid-20th century watchmaking.
Powered by the manually wound calibre 484, the present watch displays a complete calendar with day, date and month indications, complemented by a small seconds register. Designed for intuitive readability, the date is indicated by a central hand with a red arrow, while the day and month are displayed through apertures on the dial.
A fine example of Jaeger-LeCoultre's refined aesthetic, the watch features the elegant “teardrop” lugs characteristic of the Maison's vintage productions. Combining technical ingenuity, practical functionality and enduring style, this Triple Calendar remains a highly collectible testament to Jaeger-LeCoultre's rich horological heritage.
