The present reference 1596, made in 1946, is distinguished by its rounded “soft lug” case, the lugs flowing directly from the case band without sharp transition. Executed in yellow gold and fitted with a silvered dial, the watch is powered by the cal. 12-120 PS. The case form, combined with the restrained dial, defines the model within Patek Philippe’s post-war production.
