Harry Winston’s Midnight collection sought to translate the maison’s high jewellery heritage into contemporary watchmaking, combining mechanical complications with an emphasis on gemstone setting and dial craftsmanship. The present reference MIDAMP36R R001 exemplifies this approach through the integration of a mother-of-pearl dial, diamond-set case and asymmetrical calendar display.

Executed in pink gold, the watch is framed by brilliant-cut diamonds extending across the bezel, lugs and crown guards, while the dial itself remains notably restrained. The luminous mother-of-pearl surface provides depth without overwhelming the display, allowing the arcing diamond-set hour track and crescent moon phase aperture to remain visually balanced. The off-centre subsidiary indications create a flowing composition characteristic of the Midnight collection, avoiding the rigidity often associated with calendar watches. The 3205 automatic calibre can be viewed through the sapphire display back.
