The “Chambre des Merveilles” series represents Girard-Perregaux’s exploration of historical cosmology through decorative watchmaking.

The present “Terre, Centre de l’Univers” edition draws upon pre-Copernican astronomical models, depicting the Earth as the focal point of the universe. Executed using mother-of-pearl, aventurine and lapis lazuli, the dial achieves both depth and luminosity, evoking celestial cartography rather than conventional time display.

Housed in a pink gold case and powered by the automatic calibre GP3300, the watch balances artistic narrative with mechanical reliability. As part of a limited series, it reflects the manufacture’s ability to integrate historical reference with contemporary execution.
