Edmond-Henri Becker is a leading figure of the Art Nouveau movement, he pursued a multifaceted career as a sculptor, medallist, goldsmith, and jeweller before embracing the refined aesthetics of Art Deco. Also active in wood engraving, sculpture, and the decorative arts, he demonstrated a remarkable breadth of artistic achievement. He gained significant recognition at the 1900 Paris Exposition Universelle, where his contribution, notably to the Boucheron stand, was rewarded with a gold medal. This collaboration highlights the distinctive nature of his work, situated at the crossroads of sculpture, goldsmithing, jewellery, and the decorative arts.
