Description

Set with a rectangular step-cut sapphire weighing 13.80 carats to an openwork mount.

  • Size 51 ½
  • French assay mark for 18 carat gold, maker's mark
  • 1970s
  • Gross weight 10.06 grams
  • Accompanied by SSEF report no. 152514, dated 6th March 2026, stating that the sapphire is of Burmese origin, with no indications of thermal enhancement. Together with another gemological report.

Founded in Paris in 1965 by Jean Dinh Van, Dinh Van is renowned for its minimalist design approach to fine jewelry, highlighting clean and pure lines.

The 'Le Cube Diamant' collection started in 1971, illustrates this philosophy by playing between void and solid, circle and square. The stone, set within an open cubic mount, appears to float, emphasizing both structure and lightness in a geometric composition.

The present sapphire ring takes inspiration from this iconic design, reimagining its form around a beautiful sapphire. The sculptural setting combined to the use of color results in an elegant and unique ring.
