Janesich

Founded in 1835 in Trieste by Leopoldo Janesich, the house quickly established a reputation for refined craftsmanship and an international clientele drawn to its jewellery and silverware. By the late nineteenth century, expanded opening a boutique on the Rue de la Paix in Paris, then the epicentre of European luxury. Further branches in London, Biarritz, Monte Carlo and Vichy positioned the firm within the social circuits of Europe’s aristocratic and royal families, many of whom became loyal patrons.

The early 20th century was a particularly rich and productive period for the firm, and they excelled at producing both jewellery and accessories in the fashionable modern style that would become known as Art Deco. Janesich excelled in this new aesthetic, producing jewellery and accessories distinguished by crisp geometry, bold contrasts and a sophisticated interplay of materials such as the seed pearls and onyx used in this bracelet.
