the base formed of curved smokey quartz, the two-colour gold mount chased with laurel wreaths, the surface of the curved lid of translucent peach enamel over hatched engine-turning, surmounted by a cabochon ruby set on a bed of rose-cut diamonds, rose gold interior, fitted with a gadrooned gold and cork stopper, struck to inside lid and mount with workmaster's initials, 56 standard
