Pride is a large-scale oil painting developed through an intensive, multi-phase process over three months of full-time work. The composition was constructed from numerous independent reference images, requiring the artist to reconstruct lighting, colour harmony, and spatial coherence to unite six lions within a single aerial perspective.

The painting depicts six iconic lions—Bobcat, George, Yame, Thor, Meg, and Gaby—each an ambassador for their species and a symbol of resilience and survival. The KR Wildlife Sanctuary and Kevin Richardson Foundation are distinguished by their dual commitment: caring for their resident lions while simultaneously raising awareness and critical funding for wild lion and habitat conservation.” – Carla Grace

The artist is donating her proceeds from the sale of Pride to the Kevin Richardson Foundation, ensuring the work contributes directly to conservation beyond its life on the wall.
