“This work portrays a beautiful woman standing perhaps on the edge of a cliff, or perhaps on a mountaintop, with a wind so strong that it blows the veil of her dress into the air, making it look like the wings of an angel about to take flight.

The light is harsh and the shadows are very pronounced, defining the figure and making the subject visible even from several meters away.

In these latest works, my intention is to incorporate very significant elements of my homeland, Galicia, such as the mountains, the sea, the wind, the fog, the rain, fire, magic... and in this way, recover that connection with my origins.” – Marcos Rey
