decorated with silvered, bronzed and gilt foliages on a blackbackground, the commode opening with two drawers, the encoignures with a door and three shelves, with a brèche d’Alep marble top

Possibly delivered to the Marshal of Saxe, at the Château du Piple in Boissy-Saint-Léger. The château was acquired in 1819 by Jean Conrad Hottinguer, then by descent to barons Hottinguer;
