Small incense burners, known as 'zither censers' (qinlu), were particularly beloved for their petite size and adaptability. Inspired by the archaic tripod vessels of the Shang and Zhou dynasties, the present form is imbued with new life in its ancient yet contemporary taotie mask design in gold inlay.
