circular, the lid painted en plein with two washerwomen by a waterfall below two houses on a dangerously steep rockery, against an opalescent pale blue sky over sunray engine-turning, in a circular gold frame, on a dark blue enamel ground edged in opaque duck egg blue and white enamel, the sides and base decorated to match, the base also with an unusual spiraling engine-turned ground, maker's mark within two further marks, the rim numbered: 2960
