the second, a smaller silver-gilt example, probably American, 1940s, square shape with cut corners, the lid engraved with a flower basket hung from garlands, the base with engraved tulips framing an oval cartouche, cabochon pushpiece, apparently unmarked, height 2 1/4 in., 5.8 cm
