Remy Martin Louis XIII Cognac Grande Champagne Very Old 40.0 abv NV
Decanter #0048570, neck label badly stained and soiled, front label worn and soiled, the inside of the original presentation case is worn and soiled, includes paper insert and stopper
This decanter is the exact replica of a bottle discovered at the site of the Battle of Jarnac, which took place in 1569 between Catholics led by the Duke of Anjou and Protestants led by the Prince of Conde.
The original bottle was found at the battle site and acquired by Monsieur Remy Martin at the beginning of this century.
Reproductions of this decanter were then used to contain the very rare cognacs reserve by Remy martin for different royal families.
