When the name ‘Patek Phillipe’ arises in conversation, one would typically picture their artisanal wristwatches or pocket watches. For rarer models like dome clocks, the paradigm is the ones adorned with cloisonné enamel paintings.

Yet, this dome clock is a member of the Rare Handcraft collection that evokes a slightly different tone, one of pure glamour and elegance.

Made in collaboration with the French fine Crystal glassmaker, Baccarat, this timepiece’s construction is heavily inspired by nature and the queen of the flowers. Each pink-colored crystal of the timepiece is individually cut and imbued with attention and detail, carved rose for the main body and around the dial, while the dome is treated as a superb single rose flower. The dial has a superb railtrack with an arabesque inspiration and the openwork hands bring the final touch of sophistication. The clock rest on a transparent and finelly carved base.

Most of the Patek Philippe and Baccarat clock measure 160mm. This present lot however is 220mm high, imposing itself as a most importance creation of this highly exclusive production.

While both Patek Phillipe and Baccarat are leaders in their own respective fields, this timepiece marks an incredibly rare amalgamation of both worlds, making this piece an exceptionally exclusive showcase of both fine crystal making and technical watchmaking.
