Original concept painting for David Lynch's Dune. Acrylic, pen and ink on Artists’ Board, 15 1/2 x 7 1/4 inches (39.37 x 18.41 cm). Signed “RON MILLER” in bottom left corner. SIGNED AND INSCRIBED “DEPARTURE FROM CALADAN,” “RON MILLER” in BLACK INK on verso. “Rigel (Blue Giant) / Ron Miller ‘84” is written in blue ink and crossed out in black. Some stripping to sides of recto, likely from adhesive tape. Unframed.
