The third auction in this series of sales of The Manny Davidson Collection: A Life in Treasures and Benevolence, further demonstrates the far-reaching taste of an extraordinary collector. Including pottery from the 4th century BC to the 20th century glass by Gallé, Daum and Lalique; Manny's unquenchable desire to collect what he found interesting, curious, attractive or humorous is no better evidenced than in the objects included in the final part of this sale series. Many of these are the items that gave as much pleasure to acquire and live with as the masterpieces in the earlier sales and were equally as treasured. The works included in this online sale have been chosen with the same unerring attention to detail, be it silver-gilt nut-crackers by the Royal silversmith Robert Garrard, a model of a gun carriage or a watercolour view of Manny's beloved London, there are a host of treasures to discover.
