Lot Details

Description

“Padparadscha” is the Sinhalese word for lotus blossom and is used to describe rare sapphires that combine pink and orange hues in their coloration. This ring features a 17.96 carat Ceylon Padparadscha sapphire with no indications of heating. The sugarloaf cabochon stone is a wonderful shade of slightly orangy pink, and its internal features give it an intriguing sheen as it interacts with light. The ring is impactful in size and the rich color of its sleek brushed 22 karat gold mounting contrasts beautifully with the sapphire’s pastel color.

Featuring a sugarloaf cabochon padparadscha sapphire.

  • Padparadscha sapphire weighing 17.96 carats
  • Size 6¾
  • 22 karat gold
  • Accompanied by AGL report no. 1117469 dated September 20, 2021 stating that the padparadscha sapphire is of Ceylon origin, with no indications of heating
