Description

WILSON, WILSON Football

Circa 2024

Sotheby’s is proud to present this game used football from November 24, 2024, when the Kansas City Chiefs beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in overtime, 30-24, at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium, in Kansas City. The Monday Night Football matchup saw future Hall of Fame tight end Travis Kelce set his Career High in catches with 14, totaling 100 yards. Additionally, this tied the record for most receptions in a Monday Night Football game in NFL history. The Chiefs would go on to win the AFC Championship, losing to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX.

The ball is signed by Kelce and inscribed “GU vs TB”.

This ball has been photomatched to one of Kelce's receptions in the game by Meigray and is accompanied by photomatch letters, as well a Certificate of Authenticity from the Kansas City Chiefs. The lot is also accompanied by a letter from James Spence Authentication in regards to the signature as well as a hologram from Beckett.

Going Deeper | Travis Kelce

Born in Westlake, Ohio in 1989, Travis Kelce has emerged as one of the most dominant and dynamic tight ends in NFL history. Drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs in 2013, Kelce became a cornerstone of the franchise’s offensive identity, pairing athleticism, intelligence, and route-running finesse in a way rarely seen at his position.

A multi-time Pro Bowler and All-Pro, Kelce set new standards for production by a tight end, including an unprecedented seven consecutive 1,000-yard receiving seasons — a feat unmatched in league history. His chemistry with quarterback Patrick Mahomes helped power the Chiefs to multiple Super Bowl appearances, with victories in Super Bowl LIV, LVII, and LVIII, cementing his legacy as a big-game performer.

Off the field, Kelce has become a cultural figure, known for his charisma, leadership, and crossover appeal — elevating both his team and the tight end position into new territory.
