TWO PROJECT GEMINI HANDBOOKS WITH INCREDIBLE DETAILS ABOUT THE PROGRAMS, USED BY ASTRONAUTS AND PRESS CORPS RESPECTIVELY

Project Gemini laid the groundwork for the historic Moon landing. The Familiarization Manual in this lot was a resource for the astronauts in the program to understand mission and equipment details. The Gemini-Titan II Air Force Launch Vehicle Press Handbook was similarly an important document for press to use when communicating and educating the public about what was gearing up to be the most ambitious program until the later Moon landings.

TWO GEMINI astronauts who SIGNED and INSCRIBED the books in the present lot later went on to walk on the lunar surface in the APOLLO Program: BUZZ ALDRIN (Apollo 11), GENE CERNAN (Apollo 17)
