An homage to the 1990s sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, the Air Jordan 5 Retro originally drew inspiration from the show’s vibrant title card. The public release featured a cool grey leather upper accented by a multicolor sock lining, translucent quarter panels, and the signature shark-tooth detailing in blue with green speckling, contrasted by a deep purple midsole. By the time the Jordan 5 premiered in 1990, the line had become a household name, and its release, designed by legendary Nike designer Tinker Hatfield, introduced the shark-tooth midsole pattern inspired by World War II fighter jets.

This exceptional Friends & Family edition was created to celebrate the 50th birthday of actor and rapper Will Smith, reimagining Michael Jordan’s fifth signature sneaker in a limited production of just 23 pairs. The upper arrives in luxurious gold satin, complemented by purple and teal accents on the tongue and midsole. To complete the look, the sneaker features a translucent outsole underfoot, finished with an Infrared Jumpman logo on the heel.
