Description
Gold chain with Prince's custom love symbol, owned and stage-worn by Prince, ca. [1990s].
Pendant measuring 1.125 x 1.625 in with chain measuring 30 in.
Obtained directly from Prince's former wife, Mayte Garcia, who provides a letter of authenticity for the piece which reads: "Prince purchased this gold chain and attached his Love Symbol to be worn during performances in front of his fans at concert venues. This 30" gold chain was coupled with his new Love Symbol which he designed in 1993 and wore for many of his 90 performances. Prince referred to the jewelry as "his waist chain but he would often wear it as a necklace as well."
