Luigi Martinati created the best looking poster on this 1954 musical. This very rare poster hardly ever surfaces.
This version of A Star is Born in 1954 is a musical film written by Moss Hart and directed by George Cukor. It stars Judy Garland and James Mason, and was the first musical adaptation of the film. Hart's screenplay was an adaptation of the original 1937 film. The film has been re-made a total of three times—in 1976 with Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristofferson and more recently in 2018 with Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper.
