in the shape of a purse, the 'clasp' chased with flowerheads and laurel on a sablé ground around an enamelled flower spray including a rose and an ox-eye daisy on a turquoise ground, surrounded by translucent red enamel over moiré engine-turning, within blue, white and yellow taille d'épargne enamel borders of flowers and scrollwork on a cornflower blue enamel ground, the base similarly decorated, reeded gold sides, the top enamelled in red resembling a book spine, apparently unmarked, with original gold-tooled leather presentation case and winder,
