A George III silver soup tureen and stand, Benjamin Smith III, London, 1820

Rounded rectangular form, in the Regency style, the stand with egg and dart border and ridged palm leaf handles, attached to the tureen with nuts, the tureen with lion paw feet and shell and leaf brackets, the cover with scrolling leaf-capped handle, all three pieces engraved with arms or crest.
