This ball was issued for the 2017 NBA Finals, when the Golden State Warriors faced the Cleveland Cavaliers.
The Warriors defeated the Cavaliers in five games, capturing their fifth championship in franchise history. It marked the second NBA title for Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green, and the first with superstar Kevin Durant, who was named Finals MVP.
The 2017 NBA Finals featured a rematch between the Golden State Warriors and the Cleveland Cavaliers for the third straight year. The Warriors won the series 4-1, capturing their second title in three years.
With the addition of Kevin Durant, Golden State formed a dominant "super team" alongside Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green. Durant was named Finals MVP, averaging over 35 points per game and hitting clutch shots, including a memorable pull-up three in Game 3. Despite a strong effort from LeBron James—who averaged a triple-double for the series—the Cavaliers couldn't match the Warriors' firepower.
