This ‘Icon Edition’ jersey was issued to Kevin Love on November 2, 2024, when the Miami Heat played the Washington Wizards in Mexico City.
Love did not see any game action. The Heat beat the Wizards, 118-98.
Kevin Love entered the league as the 5th overall pick in the 2008 NBA Draft, was selected by the Memphis Grizzlies, and subsequently traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves.
In 2014, Love joined the Cleveland Cavaliers, forming a formidable "Big Three" alongside LeBron James and Kyrie Irving. This union resulted in multiple NBA Finals appearances, and in 2016, Love played a pivotal role in the Cavaliers' historic championship, securing the franchise's first-ever NBA title.
