This NBA Draft Combine jersey was issued to John Tonje on May 13, 2025 in Chicago, at Wintrust Arena and the Marriott Marquis Hotel.

With a 6’5”, 218-pound build and a near 6’9” wingspan, John Tonje brings a polished, veteran scoring presence to the wing. His physical profile, strong frame, and dependable jump shot make him a natural fit as a 3-and-D prospect with plug-and-play potential at the next level.

Tonje is coming out of the University of Wisconsin, where he completed a standout super-senior campaign in 2024–25. Over five collegiate seasons split between Colorado State, Missouri, and Wisconsin, Tonje played in 167 games (87 starts) and posted career averages of:

  • 10.8 points, 3.4 rebounds, 1.0 assists, 0.5 steals per game
  • 45.7% FG, 37.8% 3PT, 85.8% FT

He enjoyed a breakout year at Wisconsin, leading the Badgers in scoring with 19.6 points per game while adding 5.3 rebounds and 1.8 assists. He shot 46.5% from the field, 38.8% from three, and an elite 90.9% from the free throw line. His 724 total points ranked second all-time for a single season in program history.

Tonje earned:

  • Consensus Second Team All-American (2025)
  • Unanimous First Team All-Big Ten
  • Three-time Big Ten Player of the Week
  • Team MVP and senior leadership honors at Wisconsin

He was a consistent scorer throughout his career, with his best prior season coming at Colorado State, where he averaged 14.6 points and 4.7 rebounds as a senior in 2022–23 before brief injury-limited stops at Missouri and a breakout return at Wisconsin.

Blending veteran scoring feel, physical strength, and efficiency from all levels, Tonje projects as a poised rotational wing with NBA readiness.
