This away ‘Statement Edition’ jersey was worn in the 2nd half by Zion Williamson on October 29, 2024, when the New Orleans Pelicans played the Golden State Warriors. 


Williamson finished with 31 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, and 1 block. The Pelicans lost to the Warriors, 124-106.   


Zion Williamson, the top selection in the 2019 NBA Draft, embarked on his professional basketball journey with the New Orleans Pelicans after declaring for the draft following a standout season at Duke University. Williamson however faced an early obstacle when a meniscus tear during the NBA Summer League delayed his debut until January 2020. 


Despite this setback, Williamson made a resounding entrance into the NBA with a 22-point performance in his first regular-season game, including a streak of 17 consecutive points that showcased his formidable scoring ability.


Amid his rookie season, Zion Williamson's presence served as a beacon of hope for the New Orleans Pelicans. Despite a minutes restriction as he recuperated from his injury, Williamson managed remarkable performances, including a 35-point game against the Los Angeles Lakers.


Throughout his career, Williamson has continued to score in bunches. In December 2022, he set his new career high of 43 points against the Minnesota Timberwolves. At the time of cataloging, Williamson’s career averages include 24.7 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 4.3 assists per game. 


Williamson was named to the All-Rookie First Team in 2020 and earned NBA All-Star selections in 2021 and 2023.
