This ball was issued for the 2018 NBA Finals, when the Golden State Warriors faced the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Warriors defeated the Cavaliers in four games, capturing their sixth championship in franchise history. 

The 2018 NBA Finals was the fourth straight matchup between the Golden State Warriors and the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Warriors swept the series 4-0, winning back-to-back titles and their third in four years.

Kevin Durant was named Finals MVP for the second consecutive year, with strong all-around performances. Stephen Curry also had a big series, while LeBron James carried a heavy load for the Cavs, including a 51-point effort in a heartbreaking Game 1 loss. The Warriors' depth and star power ultimately proved too much for Cleveland.
