This sandstone slab, mined along the Utah-Arizona border, is often termed "picturestone" in reference to the evocative landscapes and vistas that can be imagined within the rock. Made up of natural mineral deposits built up approximately 120 million years ago, the colors are the result of iron oxides proliferating throughout the piece.
