Jeffrey Wandly | Fullerton IV

Jeffrey Wandly captures the essence of heritage landmarks and historical places in his paintings, earning him the nickname “Building Whisperer.” He holds a Master's in Project Management from Queensland University of Technology (QUT), a Bachelor’s of Architecture (Honours) from the National University of Singapore and is a recipient of the Anugerah Cemerlang MENDAKI (MENDAKI Excellence Award). An advisor and judge for the Pan Pacific Hanoi Art Award (2024–2025), Wandly also chaired exhibitions at the Vietnam National Fine Arts Museum and Vietnam University of Fine Arts in Hanoi. As cofounder of Maya Gallery, he has mentored young artists and spoken at various institutions.

Fullerton Hotel, originally known as Fullerton Building, was named after Robert Fullerton, the first Governor of the Straits Settlements. The grand neoclassical building previously housed the first General Post Office and various government offices before the outbreak of World War II. Wandly captures the energy and vitality of the building, against Singapore’s city skyline. His choice of subject matter reflects a sense of place, time, and heritage.
