signed Man Ray and numbered 3/12 (on one earring); stamped with the maker's marks GEM, 792MI and K18 (on the other earring); stamped with the maker's mark 750 and 792MI (on one of the detachable hoops)
pair of 18-karat gold earrings accompanied by their blue velvet-lined case, stamped in gold Man Ray on the interior lining
height of each earring: 5 ¼ in. 13.3 cm.
Executed in 1970 in an edition of 12 examples plus artist’s proofs.
Andrew Strauss and Timothy Baum of the Man Ray Expertise Committee have confirmed the authenticity of this work under reference 00518-O-2025.
