of square section, the body rising straight up from a flat base to a flat shoulder, sweeping up to a cylindrical neck to a flaring rim, the sides decorated with thin vertical straps in red, blue, white, and green, interrupted by a horizontal band of floral scroll towards the lower belly, all below a key fret band at the top edge, the shoulder and the neck decorated with underglaze blue-painted flowers and Buddhist symbols with iron-red outline, Japanese wood box
