Probably commissioned from the artist by the sitters, John Booth (1721-1786) and Phoebe Wilkinson Booth (d. circa 1764), Glendon Hall, Kettering, Northamptonshire;
Thence by descent and inheritance to Mrs. Vincent Gompertz, of Glendon Hall, Kettering, Northamptonshire;
