鳳凰沱茶是由南澗茶廠於1985年創製的茶品。本次拍賣的為1998年生產的甲級鳳凰熟沱茶，屬於茶廠級別最高的沱茶產品。該茶品選用無量山優質茶葉作為原料，經過壓制，茶條粗壯，色澤油潤，主要由6-7級茶葉組成，略帶茶梗。
經過二十多年的陳化，茶湯散發著濃郁的陳香氣息，入口爽滑醇厚，口感溫和飽滿，齒頰留香，實為養身保健的上等茶品。
