Description
Various artists including Harada Keigaku (1803-1885), Yamagata Soshin (1818-1862), Kawabata Gyokusho (1842-1913), Senko (active circa 1850s), Terukazu (dates unknown)
A group of eleven nagaban surimono
Edo – Meiji period, 19th century
each a woodblock print, surimono, variously signed, sealed and inscribed, two with original paper envelopes, privately issued, various subjects, each with collector's seal of Gerhard Pulverer to verso; and including:
- Man and two women dancing; with collector's seal TSN to verso
- Parasol, sprig of plum blossom and cascading waters, signed and sealed Soshin, 1857
- Votive plaque (ema) with sacred pearl, plum blossom and camellia, embellished with gold pigment and embossing, signed and sealed Gyokusho, further square red seal, 1890
- New Year’s pine decoration (kadomatsu), embellished with metallic pigment, signed Terukazu, sealed, 1888
- Model of a duck, cloth cover and shuttlecocks, signed Nantei and Keigaku, sealed Genpo, further signature and seal
Each horizontal nagaban:
