Utagawa Hiroshige (1797-1858), Intérieur du sanctuaire de Kameido Tenjin, époque Edo, XIXe siècle
Gerhard Pulverer (b. 1930)
A rare example of the first state with the sky beneath the bridge printed blue. It is apparent that the use of the western approach to perspective in this design was not readily understood by the printer, hence the printing of blue above the horizon line to represent water beneath the bridge instead of the orange bokashi and unprinted paper white colour for the sky. This was quickly corrected and only a small number of other examples of this state are extant.
