Two impressions of Roof Tile and Sparrows; Specialties of Mizuno in Imado
Edo - Meiji period, 19th century
each a woodblock print, surimono, with embossing, from the series Famous Products of Edo, Produced by Shunman (Edo meibutsu, Shunman sei), signed Hokkei sha (sketched by Hokkei), privately issued for the Gogawa Poetry Circle (Gogawa-ren), the first, circa 1810s; with collectors’ seals of Henri Vever and Gerhard Pulverer; the second Meiji period, late 19th century
Each shikishiban surimono: each approx. 20 x 18.1 cm., 7⅞ x 7⅛ in.
