Three surimono
Meiji period, late 19th century
each a woodblock print, surimono, signed Zeshin, privately issued; each with collector's seal of Gerhard Pulverer to verso, and comprising:
- The courtesan Eguchi no Kimi seated on a white elephant, embellished with metallic pigment and embossing, sealed Reisai
- Clam shell and sprig of plum blossom, sealed Taiyukyo
- Villagers making an offering at a shrine, sealed Tairyukyo
Shikishiban surimono: 20.9 x 17.4 cm., 8¼ x 6⅞ in. (the first)
Shikishiban surimono: 20.4 x 18.5 cm., 8 x 7¼ in. (the second)
Horizontal nagaban: 19.8 x 44.6 cm., 7¾ x 17½ in. (the third)
