Incense burner (hidori-koro) and branch of plum

Edo period, 19th century

 

woodblock print, surimono, embellished with metallic pigment and embossing, signed Shinsai, privately issued, circa 1810s, poem by Rakuseian and another; with collector's seal of Gerhard Pulverer to verso
