The Huitième, French for eighth, was the exclusive line of Audemars Piguet in the 1980’s and 1990’s.
The reference 25644 abides very much by the style and precedent of models from the past century. It features a large case diameter of 40mm, a signature element of the Huitième collection. Yet still round, thin and classic in shape, the present watch stands as a reminder of a totally different era for Audemars Piguet, and indeed a different era for watchmaking as a whole.
The extremely high quality Calibre 2126 was produced between 1986 to 2003 and was based on the Jaeger-LeCoultre 889 and the module from Dubois Dépraz.
