The Reference 3881 was produced between 1980 and 1998 in exceptionally limited numbers, averaging fewer than ten pieces per year, making it a highly sought-after and collectable model.
Part of the esteemed Ellipse collection, this reference houses the ultra-thin calibre 177, beautifully skeletonised and hand-engraved. Patek Philippe made use of the space between the round movement and the elliptical case to adorn it with brilliant-cut diamonds, further enhancing its refined and distinctive appearance.
Notably, this example features traditional lugs, allowing a conventional strap to be fitted rather than the less popular integrated central bars.
The Ellipse collection has been gaining well-deserved recognition among collectors, and this rare version represents an exceptional opportunity to acquire an exclusive and exquisitely executed example of Patek Philippe’s craftsmanship
