The Patek Philippe reference 5960 holds a significant position in the manufacture's history. Indeed, it was the first model combining an annual calendar, a complication patented by Patek Philippe in 1996, and a chronograph. The calibre was entirely designed and produced in-house.
In 2014, Patek Philippe released the 5960/1A in stainless steel with a white panda dial, the matching stainless steel Calatrava bracelet with rice-bead link construction. That configuration perfectly embodied the spirit of the model, adroitly blending haute horlogerie, functionability with a sport and masculine twist.
In 2017, Patek released a second version of the 5960/1A sporting a black dial and discontinued both versions of the 5960 in stainless steel shortly after.
Considering its short lifespan, limited production and perfect execution, the Patek Philippe 5960/1A is highly collectible and one of the best stainless steel models produced in recent history.
The present example is offered in service sealed condition coming straight out of Patek Philippe’s workshops.
