Born from the desire to honour Vacheron Constantin’s rich heritage, the Historiques American 1921 pays tribute to the emblematic model created in 1921 for the American market during the Roaring Twenties. Its distinctive Art Deco styling and diagonal dial layout have ensured its enduring appeal, making it one of the most recognizable and celebrated designs in the Maison’s history.
The present example is a limited edition of only 64 pieces, released in 2012 to commemorate the opening of the Vacheron Constantin New York boutique. It features a yellow gold cushion-shaped case framing a special sandblasted-finish dial, adorned with larger off-white Art Deco numerals and a railway minute track for enhanced legibility. Accompanied by its full set of accessories, this striking wristwatch represents a highly collectible and elegant modern interpretation of a true classic.
