The Reference 5712 was released in 2006 in honor of the 30th anniversary of the Nautilus and was produced in three different metals: stainless steel on matching bracelet, pink gold, and white gold. Sporting a power reserve indication, moon phase complication, date function, and a sub second dial, the 5712 clearly embodies its original predecessors while also adding complications in a tasteful and elegant way. With this iteration, the sport spirit of the case is beautifully counter-balanced by the classic touch brought by the non metal strap, offering a subtle balance of sport-chicness that is so rare to find.
Today discontinued, the Nautilus 5712R-001 has become one of the most recognizable watches to modern collectors and this example is no exception.
