In 2011 Richard Mille launched the RM035, developed in close collaboration with tennis star Rafael Nadal. The RM035 was intended to cater to Rafael Nadal’s needs on the tennis court, without compromising the technical complexity of Richard Mille’s watchmaking. The present lot features a semi-skeletonised dial, offering an incredible insight into the intricate mechanical composition. The case of the RM035 is made out of magnesium-aluminium alloy, while parts of the complex movement are made out of Titanium. Thus, the watch is incredibly light, while the material still ensures maximum protection against impact and corrosion.
The RM035 is the first ever Richard Mille watch to hold a Chronofiable certificate, meaning it can withstand even the harshest of conditions without losing out on timekeeping accuracy. The combination of the low weight and the robust, shock-absorbing protection makes the watch ideal for active wear. Richard Mille has been able to beautifully merge technical innovation with sporty elegance by creating the skeletonised RM035, making it an incredible timepiece for collectors.
