Richard Mille is known for creating modern, jaw-dropping horological masterpieces and the present watch is no exception. Designed to serve as the ultimate sports watch, the RM029 was first released in 2011, but has since been discontinued in 2022. Intended to be the successor to the RM010, Richard Mille would go on to create a thinner and more wearable variation of an already successful example. The present watch features a titanium case and is quickly recognizable by its signature oversized date window.
The skeletonised dial reveals the in-house automatic calibre RMAS7. The movement is reinforced by grade 5 titanium plates and bridges, providing stability and durability in any given condition. It also includes a variable-geometry rotor, allowing the wearer to wind the movement at different speeds, according to the current activity. This smart feature allows the RM029 to be personalized to the lifestyle of its owner, making it the ideal sports watch. While the orange velcro strap adds an additional factor of functionality, the titanium, signature tonneau-shaped case, arabic dials and multi-tonal movement epitomize Richard Mille’s unorthodox, prominent design.
